Riding LessonsBeth Hartka

Minimum age for students or campers is 5

All new students must take an ‘Intro’ lesson regardless of prior riding experience – this is to ensure safety and assess skills

Persons who have attended GEC Camp in the past year are not required to take an intro lesson

Lessons are by appointment only and are prepaid in our scheduling software. See cancellation policy below.

We do not offer trail rides to the public

We offer English style riding with an emphasis on eventing, which includes jumping and dressage. We can happily provide accommodations for riders with special needs. Contact [email protected] to discuss requirements.

How to schedule your lesson: (all links below open in a new window so that you can easily return to this page):

  1. Go to our scheduling portal (link below), click ‘Group and Intro Lessons’, center of page
  2. Select Intro Lesson
  3. If there is not an intro lesson available – that is because we do not have any scheduled due to horse workload constraints. Lessons are added monthly, please check back to see if any Intro’s have been added. You can add yourself to the waitlist for scheduled Intro Lessons that are full.
  4. Fill out both GEC Assumption of Risk and GEC Lesson Welcome Package here (families may fill out one liability release for multiple family members, one student package is required per person)

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel less than 24 hours ahead of time you will still owe the lesson fee. This does not apply if GEC is forced to cancel the lesson due to weather or illness. Cancellations prior to 24 hours in advance will automatically receive credits for future use. $ Refunds incur a 3% fee.
