Meet Facilities Manager – Holly La Barre

Holly La Barre – Facilities Manager

Holly has been riding and working with horses all her life. With a riding instructor for a Mom and a Dad that rode as well, there was never a time when Holly was not immersed in horses. As a child she started out trail riding and at age 5 took an overnight trail ride from a farm that used to sit where White Marsh mall now resides to Cub Hill Stables which is now Graham Equestrian Center!
At age 9 Holly’s started showing A rated  pony hunters for a top hunter farm in Harford county. At age 14 she was breaking young Thoroughbreds and getting them ready for the track. That sparked a 10 year career in the racing industry where she worked on many Maryland racing farms in every aspect of Thoroughbred care including breeding, foaling, nutrition, starting young horses, galloping, training and injury care.
Holly’s newest love is dressage and low level eventing but she likes to keep herself and her horses on their toes by competing in many different equine sports and activities such as endurance and competitive riding, jousting, judge pleasure trail rides, hunter shows, western pleasure, parades and drill teams. As much as Holly loves competing her very favorite thing to do with her horses is to go for a nice long weekend camping trip.
Holly has been managing Graham from the start and has loved seeing the place grow from a boarding facility to a true educational center where everyone can come and learn. Holly is also CHA certified.
